Draper to Anchor Development, Bringing Hundreds of Jobs to Lowell Region

Gov. Maura T. Healey today announced a major milestone in a transformative project that will bring new housing, economic development, technology jobs and workforce development to downtown Lowell. The research non-profit, Draper Laboratory (Draper) will become an anchor tenant in the Lowell Innovation Network Corridor (LINC), a transformative public-private partnership.

Across Five Colleges, 4,500-Plus Receive Degrees to Cheers of Family and Friends

This weekend, the greater UMass Lowell community – including family and friends – cheered as the Class of 2024 completed their college journey. Forty-one states and 106 countries are represented among the more than 4,500 graduates of the Class of 2024. Among undergraduate members of the Class of 2024, nearly 800 are the first in their family to graduate from college.

In Support of Student Success, UMass Lowell’s Record Days of Giving Tops $3.85M in Gifts

Gifts Made to the University Fund Career-Connected Internships, First-Generation Student Scholarships

Nearly 4,000 donors took part to help the university raise more than $870,000 – both of which are new record totals. In addition, $3.1 million was contributed to UMass Lowell’s student scholarship fund by the Independent University Alumni Association at Lowell.
